Artwork: Bold Eagle
City condition notes

The piece in question is a highly detailed bronze eagle, depicted with wings outstretched. The eagle has an overall brown patina with gold highlights on the undersides of the wings and body. The bird sits atop a small portion of a tree branch, also cast in bronze. This integral base is securely attached to a rectangular weathering steel plate at approximately 3-4 points using either bolts or epoxy. This plate in turn is welded to a red painted ¼” thick mild steel plate that has been bolted to a rough-hewn quartzite pedestal at the southeast and northwest corners. The plaque mount is made of painted mild steel and is mounted to the stone with stainless steel hardware. Two polished, engraved quartzite plaques with black paint in recessed areas are secured within the plaque holder. The mount itself is turned upside-down so that it can be easily viewed from the sidewalk at the bottom of the slope.
