2006 Sculpture Walk People's Choice Award winner. The piece in question is a bronze sculpture of two children—one girl and one boy—the girl with her hand on her chest as if pledging allegiance to the flag and the boy looking up at her. The patinated bronze showed more polished, yellow finish on flesh areas. Slight reds, black, and browns were seen through the clothing. The figures are attached to a painted mild steel rectangular base welded to a steel plate. The orange/red painted mild steel plate sits atop a large, rough-hewn quartzite pedestal. Bolts were seen at the northeast and southwest corners.
