"I love walking on the bike trails and seeing all of the wildlife that lives on the river. To me, blue herons always leave the strongest impression when I see them peacefully wading in the water or flying overhead. I think of them as the kings and queens of the river. I wanted to design something that evokes the power and prowess of said beautiful bird. Witnessing wildlife like this reminds us of the importance of protecting their habitat and inspires us to care more deeply for the health of our rivers"
