"I made this as a dedication to not only the Big Sioux River, but a dedication to South Dakota’s prairie landscape and wildlife. I believe that not only does water quality impact the Big Sioux River, it also impacts South Dakota’s prairies due to water quality, hence why the two parts of the picture blend together. I chose the buffalo as a staple of unity and their history of profound connection to the earth"
