This piece was part of 2004 Sculpture Walk and placed at Fountain Square on Phillips Ave. It was then gifted to the City of Sioux Falls from Main Street Sioux Falls members and artist Sherri Treeby in 2005. Gift agreement provided to Russ Sorenson (Planning) and Pat Wood (FM) in Oct 2015 as there was question as to who owned the sculpture after it was vandalized. Gift agreement specifies that the City of Sioux Falls owns it. It has therefore been added to the City's Art database as an asset, and added to our insurance. It will be surveyed by RLA during their next annual visit in 2016. They will also perform maintenance and help with re-installation. Reinstallation completed November 2016. This information was provided by Jim Clark (Sculpture Walk) with his thoughts on reinstallation after the piece was vandalized. I really don't think it would help to try and clean it up because the water from the fountain would quickly green it up next year. I know you'll need new long headless rods. From there Jasper Stone guys could drill new holes in the quartzite blocks on the fountain very near to the old spot. They'll pour their super epoxy in the holes, The sculpture rods that are attached in the sculpture and extending below the sculpture then go into the holes and in about 5 minutes the epoxy is solid and sculpture is set for life. Well at least for another 11 years. Let me know. Thanks, Jim Clark Director
