Kenny Anderson Community Center opened in 1994, the first of our community centers to open. The center was named after the late Kenny Anderson, Sr., a former Sioux Falls City Commissioner. Russ Sorenson verified that Porter Williams, is the sculptor and artist. Unsure exact date of placement but the pedestal was added to the City's fixed asset list in Sept 2001. Bust added in 1995. Value of sculpture $3,373 and granite pedestal $2,497. The bust was placed indoors in the Community Center. There does not appear to be a resolution regarding placement, or any other documentation. Unsure if it was gifted to the City or purchased. No gift agreement could be located.
