The sculpture is a small-scale replica of Bartholdi’s “Statue of Liberty”, located in New York Harbor. The surface has a light green patina throughout, with a painted quality and appearance. The recessed areas (such as the folds of the clothing) of the piece appear purposefully darkened to further the aged look. There is likely a clear lacquer coating throughout the sculpture. The figure sits atop a composite pedestal, though it is not certain how the two elements are connected/adhered. The cap/top of the pedestal consists of a concrete slab. The slab tops a pedestal (presumably poured concrete) that is faced with medium-sized stone sections set in mortar. There are tens of different types of stones throughout the pedestal. There are raised joint profiles throughout the pedestal, though these do not appear to serve any practical purpose and are merely decorative. Bronze plaques are affixed to the north and south sides of the pedestal with both cementitious mortar and caulking around the edges. The raised edges have a high-polish finish while the recessed areas have been painted black. Both plaques have a clear coating.
