"My design inspiration comes from my love for plants and animals. I wanted to show that when trash enters our waterways, wildlife must live around it. In the center of the composition is a plastic shopping bag that says, 'No Thank You!' with a frowny face (a play on the typical 'Thank You!' or 'Have a Nice Day' shopping bags) to communicate with the viewer to keep trash out of our storm inlets and waterways"
