Artwork: Daughters of Peace
City condition notes

This was the 2012 Sculpture Walk People's Choice Award winner and is currently awaiting permanent placement. This work consists of three separate elements with a common theme: a pioneer woman, a Native American woman and a grouping of their two daughters. The two daughters share their dolls in a gesture of future peace. Their mothers walk towards each other representing the need for effort from each generation for peace between all cultures. All three sculptures were fabricated in bronze and patinated in a variety of colors; mostly golden browns, yellow/gold, and red/brown. Each sculpture was then welded to a rectangular ferrous metal plate that has been plated or painted. The two young girl figures are grouped together while the mother figures stand alone. Each figure is clad in detailed and intricate attire.
