2009 Sculpture Walk People's Choice Award winner. The piece depicts a young female figure riding a scooter. She is bent at the west with her arms on the handles of the scooter while she holds a book. A cat is shown at the figure’s left food and a small doll hangs upside down off the right handlebar of the scooter. The bronze exhibits several patina colors, including warm browns, dark greens, and yellow/gold tones for the girl’s flesh. A clear lacquer coating was noted throughout the piece. The sculpture is mounted on a rough-hewn quartzite base, likely with stainless steel rods and epoxy. A stainless steel plaque mount is affixed to the front of the base with stainless steel hardware. It encases a single, smooth, engraved quartzite plaque with black paint in the recessed/engraved areas.
